Online Agile Master in Public Services

For whom

This course is intended for anyone who works in the public sector and deals with complex problems…

  • Transformation Business Partners
  • Project managers
  • Operations Coordinators
  • Transformation Delivery Managers
  • Project Officers
  • Information Analysts
  • Project support officer
About the training

The Agile Master for Public Services is an immersive training programme, which blends theory and practical exercises to develop a thorough working knowledge of Agile and how it can be used to deliver complex change projects within the public sector.

This course will help you answer questions like

  • How can apply agile practices to the public sector environment?
  • How can we work iteratively to remove uncertainty when dealing with complex problems?

At this point, we’d usually set out what people learn during the programme, but we run the training itself as an Agile project. Delegates take on the different roles within an Agile project and they choose what to work through and when (just like an Agile team – this will make sense when you do the training). Our experience is that this really helps to embed learning.

Better Online Engagements

For whom

Do you recognise yourself or your team members in two or more of these points? Then the Better Online Engagements training is for you:

  • You’re organising an online event and want to include a range of voices
  • You want to bring a community together online
  • Networking and spontaneous discussion is key for you
  • You want to deliver information in a way that gets others listening – and acting on what they hear
  • You want to extend the reach of your team, organisation, network or community

The training focuses on online-only events. It’s geared towards larger, more complex and higher-stakes events than everyday meetings. However, many of the key learnings will easily transfer to everyday contexts.

About the training

Course contents

This course consists of two modules:

Module 1: Making Space for Online Engagement

Grasp the critical factors for genuinely inclusive online events. You’ll learn:

  • How to design events for engagement and participation, so that everyone stays focussed and the sessions are memorable
  • How to make space for the off-the-cuff connections that are so often missing online.

Module 2: Confident Delivery

With a specific forthcoming event in mind, you’ll create a detailed plan to ensure success. You’ll learn:

  • How to build an event running order that supports effective collaborative delivery
  • How to prepare presenters, participants and others so that active participation is easy
  • How to be ready to deal with unexpected problems, such as technical issues
  • Learn how AI can benefit the group and make for better planning, delivery and enhanced results
  • How to make sure that sessions start and end on time.
